As Chief Social Officer for DDB EMEA, Anneli supports Global key clients like Volkswagen and McDonald’s on several global social projects. She also supports DDB EMEA agency teams to further advance their social capabilities. Her specialty is setting up centralized Global Social Operating Systems (Social Brand Hubs) and guiding brands to a consistent global social presence with the right strategic, tactical and operational frameworks in addition to Global Social Playbooks. Anneli has extensive experience in supporting global brands like Heineken and McDonald’s with social media optimization. As Social Strategy Director/Manager Content & Community at DDB & Tribal Amsterdam, Anneli leads all Content & Community related projects. She is responsible for the management of the Content & Community department, development of the department’s services and the consolidation of relationships with future and existing clients of the agency.
Anneli has over 8 years of social planning and community management experience. She has worked for several global brands like Heineken, McDonald’s, KLM, Vodafone, ASML and AEGON. On a daily basis, she helps companies leverage digital communities and branded content. She’s also responsible for the social crisis communication for both Heineken on a global and McDonald’s on a local level. Anneli frequently functions as a speaker/moderator for conferences, and has organized The Social Conference in Amsterdam. She also contributes to some of the biggest Dutch business magazines i.e. Emerce, Marketingfacts and is the social media specialist for BNR, a news radio station in the Netherlands.
Anneli is a fitness and health fanatic, has a severe peanut butter addiction and is a runner by force, not by nature.
