How do you feel about Golden Drum Festival? What do you especially like about the brand, event and the general atmosphere in Portorož?

I admit that my feelings toward the festival are a bit sentimental. Partly because I have been a part of if since its very beginnings, partly because of the Grand Prix Award and the study’s scholarship that I’ve received from the festival – but mostly because there’s a special feeling at the festival. Compared to other festivals Golden Drum makes everything more real, authentic. I guess that is what I favour the most.

What are the 3 things you would wish to see or experience at the Golden Drum Festival in 3-5 years from today?

Transformation from being an advertising to being a creative festival with a wider concept.
More of mixing the “old” and “new” Europe.
Kevin Spacy as the Jury President.

What are 3 things you wish to see happen in the creative advertising industry in 3, 5 or 10 years from today?

To succeed in attracting more talents from different areas.
That it wouldn’t look attraction for younger talents.
That it wouldn’t be so much in love with itself.

How do you see New Europe as a creative community? What would you wish to keep and what to change?

I don’t see the creative community of New Europe as a unified idea – maybe it was once brought together by a fact that it was the “underdog”. My guess is that the whole Europe will very soon be quite different. Because of the social-political changes that are currently under way and because creatives today are much more mobile and go where there’s more inspiration and potential to grow – and with them they bring all the uniqueness of their cultural space. The last is especially worth to preserve, other than that I think it’s excellent that talents mix.

Childhood dreams? What did you want to be, to achieve before you’ve decided on your career? Did you ever get to realise your dreams? How come?

Hmmm… to tell you the truth, I’ve always had trouble with that as I’ve always had numerous dreams and wishes, often very contradicting, but I always managed to be where I had to be.
