Creative idea
Knowing that the probabilities of matching a fingerprint are 1 in 50,000 and a face 1 in 1,000,000, we came up with the idea of creating real portraits using just fingerprints. Painstakingly creating pieces of art, using that awful lot of fingerprints and detail precision, we wanted to awareness for Mastercard’s state-of-the-art biometric security for payments. We invited a renowned artist (Jan Petrov) to join the campaign and paint the portraits using only his fingerprints. We exhibited them at the Authentication & Biometry press conference, where the audience witnessed how the artist crafted such a portrait, live.
