Marie-Margaux Tsakiri-Scanatovits

Creative Director and Co-Founder, Moth Studio, United Kingdom

Marie-Margaux is a Creative Director and Co-Founder of Moth Studio, a multi-award winning animation studio based in London, UK.

Founded by three short film directors who began collaborating on commercials, feature film segments and positive films for NGOs and charities, Moth has since grown into a full-time team of producers, directors, designers and problem solvers.

They quickly became renowned for their perceptive and emotive storytelling with an emphasis on design as communication, earning a BAFTA nomination, and being recognised with awards by the ADC and ADC*E, D&AD, and Annecy International Animation Festival, amongst others.

Often taking complex or difficult subjects and portraying them in imaginative ways, Moth strives to create vivid work that retains an intelligent and distinct style, whether for commercial clients, editorial pieces, or short films.

Their clients include Facebook, Microsoft, Kiehl’s, Headspace, the WWF, The Guardian, The New York Times, CNN and XL recordings.

Alongside their creative work, Moth are active speakers and judging panelists in design festivals and conferences worldwide, while also lecturing at universities such as Kingston University London, UAL, UCA, Hyperisland and the Royal College of Art.
