Golden Drum Festival continues to support talented individuals on their journey to a successful career by passing on the knowledge and offering a platform where Young Drummers can develop critical thinking, gain industry insights, find inspiration and grab the attention of experienced professionals. Opening on 20 May 2021, the renewed Young Drummers Competition is introducing the latest changes.
For this year’s competition, the festival has again partnered with the Slovenia Tourist Board to challenge young creatives under 30 on the topic of Slovenia, the land of active holidays. For the first time, participants from all over the world can join the competition until 1 September 2021. The registration fee is only EUR 25 (VAT not included).
The author of the best video or video series will be awarded EUR 1.000 prize and will be given a chance to present themselves and the winning video on the virtual stage during the festival’s program on 13 October 2021. The prize will be awarded at the live online Golden Drum Award Ceremony on 15 October 2021.
Young Drummers, it is your time to shine!
The aim of the competition is to raise awareness of Slovenia as a green destination with natural beauties, which offers unique and active outdoor experiences. The participants should keep in mind that creative solutions will be primarily used on the Feel Slovenia social media channels targeting specific groups. Final works will be submitted as a short video or a series of short videos, which is another novelty.
The entered works will be judged by a five-member jury under the leadership of Suvi Lähde, Executive Creative Director, SEK | Part of GREY, Finland. Joining her will be Aleksandr Dobrokotov, Creative Director, DADA Agency, Social Media Activist, Russia, Ana Savšek, Head of Content Digital Marketing Department, Slovenian Tourist Board, Slovenia, Sergio Spaccavento, Chief Creative Officer and Partner, Conversion E3, Italy and Barbara Zmrzlikar, Head of Research, Development, Innovation and EU Projects Department, Slovenian Tourist Board, Slovenia.
