Hybrid Records
Creative idea
At Record Lovers, a vinyl shop in Athens, over 1,000 used records are inspected monthly. Many have one playable side and one damaged, making them unsellable. Instead of discarding them, we created Hybrid Records: new albums combining two undamaged sides from different records. Each comes in a custom cover fusing elements from both original sleeves. The logo highlights the letter ‘Y’, referencing the Greek root of the word ‘hybrid’ (Υβρίδιο). This concept celebrates sustainability, unexpected musical fusions, and design innovation—transforming discarded vinyl into collectible hybrids.
