The sweeping floods and landslides in Slovenia two years ago revealed significant gaps in the insurance coverage of Slovenian homes, indicating that about a third of them were uninsured, and even more were insured inadequately. Zavarovalnica Triglav responded to the historic damage with an innovative tool that informs people of their property’s risk level. Using official databases and our own claims data, we have developed a unique solution: a digital tool in the i.triglav app that allows users to check their home’s exposure to natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, hail, lightning strikes) and adjust their insurance coverage to the actual risk.
