Creative idea
Romania has the highest rate of pedestrian casualties in the European Union, with children being the most affected. For Renault, pedestrian safety is a long-term commitment. So, the company created a product to help protect little pedestrians. Doodle Mats are the first kids’ play rugs featuring real streets and crosswalks from around their homes. A custom-made algorithm maps real streets and crosswalks on the rugs, using Google Maps data. This way, kids learn traffic safety by playing on the streets they walk every day. Over 378 km2 were mapped and Renault aims to offer Doodle Mats as a permanent product.
