Carmen Bistrian
Global Creative Excellence Advisor, Interpublic
Carmen started her career in advertising 2006, on the PR side of things, working for Weber Shandwick, Saatchi & Saatchi PR and Ogilvy PR. 7 years later she joined McCann Worldgroup and switched to Creative Excellence.
In the past 13 years Carmen has built and led the Creative Excellence program of McCann Worldgroup, starting with McCann Central Eastern Europe, then Europe & UK and, as of 2022, in a global role. Her main focus in the last two years at McCann was on Global Brands, proudly working with an amazing global creative team to drive creative excellence on clients like Mastercard, L’Oreal, Opella, Reckitt, Nestlé, Ikea or Microsoft.
As of January 2025 She was promoted to Interpublic Creative Excellence Advisor, working together with Susan Credle, Interpublic Creative Advisor, to ensure creativity remains the top priority for the entire IPG network.
Carmen was born in Transylvania and she is currently living in Bucharest, but she travels most of the time and she loves it.
She graduated Foreign Languages and Literature at Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca and is fluent in 5 languages: Romanian, French, English, Spanish and Italian.
