Does Risk Live at Your Address?
Creative idea
Zavarovalnica Triglav recognises the (financial) risk individuals face from extreme weather and inadequately insured homes. Within a year after the widespread floods, we developed a unique tool for a personalised assessment of a property's exposure to key natural disasters. To define the risk on a three-level scale, we combined various official databases from GIS, ARSO, Si-SURS and GEOZS with our own long-running claims data statistics. We used data from a comprehensive climate hazard analysis to calculate a risk assessment for floods, earthquakes and extreme weather events (lightning and hail) for every property in Slovenia.
