Following the devastating floods in Slovenia the year before last, insurers were subject to criticism and ill will from policyholders over the often lower-than-expected insurance payouts they received. In response to the emergency, Zavarovalnica Triglav developed an ecosystem that empowered customers regarding natural disaster risks through a caregiver approach. We enhanced insurance literacy among target groups and the general public through a unique “risk assessment” solution in the i.triglav digital office, which offers users a free personalised assessment of their property's exposure to floods, earthquakes and extreme weather events, and encourages them to take preventive action.
