The Accessibility Project
Creative idea
The accessibility project- making e-commerce content accessible to all. As e-commerce becomes an increasingly popular way to shop, the issue of accessibility has become more relevant. In terms of UX, many sites are either inaccessible to those with visual, hearing or mobile disabilities, or require ‘switching’ to compromised specially made versions. These create an unnecessary division between UX for normal’ and ‘disabled’ people. In partnership with P&G, we created an accessible design template equally usable and aesthetically appealing for people with and without visual disabilities. The file was released as an open source file, free to be used by all.
