Emiliano González De Pietri

Chief Creative Officer, McCann, Spain

Born in Milan, raised in Madrid, and schooled in New York, Emiliano has worked out of six countries and three continents. He joined McCann two years ago, helping Madrid become the second most awarded office in the McCann global network at Cannes Lions 2022, with work that includes IKEA’s Trapped in the 90s.

Prior to McCann, Emiliano spent 8 years at Grey. He was CCO of Grey Peru and Grey Colombia—a period in which he helped establish Grey LATAM as Cannes Lions Network of the Year two years in a row—, Global Executive Director headquartered in New York, CCO of Grey Canada, and Executive Creative Director, Europe out of Grey London. During these years, Emiliano helped reposition Volvo globally with the award-winning campaign ‘The Ultimate Safety Test’ and drove projects such as ‘A Song Written by a Murderer,’ winner of 5 Gold Lions, ‘Payphone Bank,’ winner of the first-ever Grand Prix awarded to a Colombian agency, and Gillette ‘First Shave,’ winner of the first-ever Glass Lion awarded to a male brand.

Emiliano has recently been chosen Spain’s 2022 Creative of the Year at El Ojo de Iberoamérica.
