Creative idea
This year's documentary festival centers on a weaponless hand ready to fire. A man's hand emerges from a white shirt, thumb and forefinger forming a gun. Who owns this hand, poised to kill without a weapon? Cufflinks hint at power. The image is both strong and unclear. It represents control, a gun metaphor for powerful forces shaping our world. But, the unarmed hand can also be a call to action. It's ready to shoot, yet can choose another path. Documentaries expose power structures and inspire change. This image, then, can be a symbol of hope for a better future.
