Creative idea
Our task was to find a suitable spoken-word piece that would speak in a 30-second form and leave a mark on the audience. The spot has an urban vibe but simultaneously alludes to the 70s/80s. We didn't want to bet on urban music solutions - we wanted something more. Our solution was post-punk, which flowed out of the cities just as urban music does today. Our inspiration was bands such as The Cure, Wire, and Joy Division. We relied on distinctive vocals and melody.
