When all schools began only online syllabus in March, 125,000 children in Hungary did not have access to any smart device. Telekom's brand purpose is to help the country succeed with digitalization. To deliver on this promise, they set out to help solve the digitalization gap. Mobildonor is an activation that connects people with superfluous smartphones to students who have none. Telekom selects the right kids with the help of NIOK, an NGO helping families under the poverty line. A social campaign convinced people to donate their old phone. The movement spread into the morning shows and the media.
