Creative idea

In September 2022, the Ukrainian army launched a successful large-scale counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region, liberating hundreds of places. To mark this event's anniversary in September 2023, Ukrposhta released a series of postage stamps honoring the victory. The stamps capture the iconic moment when Ukrainian soldiers raised the national flag by city entrance signs in Kharkiv, Balakliia, Kupiansk, and Izium, symbolizing their de-occupation. The stamps, designed in a sketch style, evoke the swift liberation, with frames shaped like the cities' coats of arms, and elements representing the real stories of those involved in the liberation.
