The lack of stricter regulation helped gambling become no. 1 recreational activity in Romania.The first study on the impact of gambling upon minors, conducted by Save the Children, revealed a shocking truth: 1 in 4 minors was engaged in gambling. While 7 out of 10 were exposed to aggressive gambling ads, on their way to school. Accessibility and exposure generate addiction. Nationwide we highlighted the dangerous proximity of gambling establishments to school units through children chains. Hand in hand, children across Romania confronted the giant industry with one ambitious purpose: to activate key stakeholders to advocate for stricter legal action.
