Creative idea

When you are truly lonely, you feel unseen, unheard – invisible. Many elderly people experience that every single day and it’s especially hard for them during Christmas. However, as a kid, being invisible might sound amazing. We wanted to show that contrast by using a classic narrative of writing a letter to Santa Claus and illustrating it with gloomy scenes from the senior woman’s apartment. This type of juxtaposition highlights the problems of older people in our society. The effect of clashing worlds makes her struggles even more real to the viewer and as a result, evokes strong emotions.
