Creative idea

In the supercell storm of 2023, the tree-lined avenues and parks of Šid, painted in the masterpieces of Sava Šumanović, one of the most significant Serbian 20th-century painters, were destroyed. This fallen trees represented not only an ecological issue but also a loss of national cultural heritage. Our idea was to create reproductions of Šumanović's works by extracting the trees that fell in the storm and symbolically presenting how Sava’s masterpieces would look if he had painted the devastated landscape after the storm. We offered these reproductions at a charity auction to support the revitalization of the affected area.
