Matej Kodrič is a Creative Director and strategic consultant with more than 26 years of experience in the advertising industry. He began his career as a copywriter and has evolved into a holistic creative leader with a strong strategic understanding of brands and their role in society.

He has worked at leading Slovenian agencies, including Studio Marketing JWT, Saatchi & Saatchi, Arnoldvuga, Herman & Partners, and Povem. Throughout his career, he has led the communication and development of brands for numerous local and global clients, including Toyota, Mastercard, Mercator, Hofer/Aldi, NLB, Sava Insurance, Natureta, BTC, Olympic Committee of Slovenia etc.

His work has received multiple awards at both national and international festivals, including Golden Drum, Epica, BalCannes, Effie, Cresta, Diggit, Sempl, SOF, WEBSI, Kaktus etc., and he is a frequent jury member at both national and international festivals.

He is regarded as one of Slovenia’s most experienced and versatile creative professionals, combining deep creative expertise with strategic thinking and strong professional integrity. His work is defined by a commitment to long-term brand value, high standards of creative excellence, and a strong emphasis on the social responsibility of advertising.

Beyond his agency career, his worldview has been shaped by fatherhood, a degree in ethnology and cultural anthropology, his columns for Elle magazine, his craft as a wood artisan, and a long-standing passion for curling.
