Lectarstvo is one of the oldest crafts in Slovenia. The gingerbread hearts symbolize love and were mainly given from boys to girls in courtship, with sweet messages written on them as a declaration of love. Now, the hearts are a sweet souvenir from Slovenia, but what remains, if you remove the love?
