This year we’re talking all about love because it’s such an integral part of Slovenia – it’s even in the name. So we asked ourselves – what’s a strong form of love that’s becoming more and more popular nowadays thanks to the internet and all kinds of dating apps/websites/forums? Long-distance relationships have over the years become more and more common, with many people dating completely online. And what’s the one thing that people in these relationships dream of the most? The anticipation towards that moment when the two of you finally get to meet, your two worlds finally colliding, the first loving embrace and kiss. That’s also what you feel when planning a trip. You read about, look at the place. You get to know it. Now all you need to do is travel there and truly fall in love with it. That’s why these places in Slovenia are now sending you postcards – they’re anxious and excited to finally meet you in person, so you can fall in love with them completely. Also, let's be real – real love is always cheesy. And we wanted to embrace that too and show that for love, even the worst puns ever are forgivable.
