Michael Moynihan is Senior Vice President of Global Brand, Marketing, Insights and Partnerships for The LEGO Group (TLG), the world’s largest toy company. His 25+ years of consumer marketing experience guides this function, which bolsters TLG’s innovation, branding, marketing, partnerships and capability building efforts.
Prior to his current role, Moynihan led the Marketing function in TLG’s U.S. business unit for five years. In that capacity, he oversaw Brand Management, In-store and Shopper Marketing, Event Marketing, Public Relations, Partnerships & Promotions, Content Marketing, Marketing Planning and Strategic Planning.
Prior to leading the US Marketing function, Moynihan held various positions in the US Marketing team since starting with TLG 25 years ago. Before joining The LEGO Group, Moynihan worked in Marketing at General Mills, managing brands in both the Yoplait yogurt and Big G cereal divisions, including the flagship Cheerios brand. He began his professional career working as a consultant at Monitor Group, a strategic consultancy.
Moynihan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Bowdoin College and Masters of Business Administration at Harvard Business School.
