Creative idea

To mark the 10-year anniversary of GR Design magazine, which celebrates and documents Greek creativity, we designed a two-poster series that embodies Greek design through the sounds of summer. One poster captures the cicada’s call during the day, the other the cricket’s song at night—each based on a 5-minute recording, translated into 5,413 waveform bars. Together, the 10-minute duration subtly references the magazine’s 10-year milestone. Through minimalism, rhythm, and natural symbolism, the posters pay tribute to Greek identity—merging visual design, data, and memory into a single sensory homage.
