Creative idea

IDEA: The short film Rododendron takes us back to the day when the 'Iron Curtain' was cut. The film shows that moment from an unusual perspective: from the point of two secret agents of the communist Hungarian Intelligence Service. Visual idea expresses that unusual perspective: a badge of the communist red star, revealing that a single matchstick is holding it, symbolizing that the communist regime is about to burn away. The red star is a powerful icon. But we wanted to express that the communism was over. We showed the BACK of that badge. Attached to a single matchstick, this symbol is about expressing the last spark of communism.
