In Turkey, Law No. 6284 (Law to Protect Family and Prevent Violence against Woman) was being distorted, often by men, with claims such as “the law is hostile to men” or “alimony victimization.” This weakened its legitimacy, despite its vital role in preventing femicide. Football and betting were always top of mind for men, so we decided to reach them where they least expected it. By publishing a betting ad disguised as real, we captured attention and challenged prejudices. Our creative idea, “6284 Changes Lives,” turned the quick-rich promise of betting into a powerful message about the law’s life-saving importance.
