Make your dreams travel anywhere
Creative idea
Core Insight: Nowadays, we have the means to make even the craziest things imaginable happen, yet we tend to think within the borders of what feels realistic. But we haven't always seen the world this way. Creative Concept: Every adult was once a child whose idea of the world was very different. Children have limitless imaginations and almost no sense of what's impossible. And, most importantly, they put their ideas on paper: I want to fly, I want to swim with dolphins etc. Those drawings are little records of a time when the world felt full of possibility. What if adults had the chance to look at them again? Introducing: Make your dreams travel anywhere - a campaign that uses real childhood drawings made by today’s adults (our colleagues’) and challenges them to turn what once existed only on paper into something they can really experience today, with a single tap, anywhere in the world. Mastercard’s Role: As one of the world’s most trusted and widely accepted payment brands, Mastercard can make possibility easier to accept and act on by removing one more layer of friction between wanting something and going for it. Thus, what once felt far-fetched suddenly feels within reach, one tap away. Why It Works: Growing out of your childhood dreams is a universal experience, which makes the campaign both emotionally impactful and globally scalable. All of us drew a future version of ourselves once. So every market can uncover real childhood drawings and connect people to experiences available somewhere in the world. The series format allows the campaign to reflect the limitless nature of a child’s imagination, making it even more relatable. Cultural relevance: As of late, the topic of “healing your inner child” rose on social media and beyond in the form of allowing yourself, as an adult, to live in the moment and experience childlike joy by giving yourself the things you used to wish for. #healingmyinnerchild reached 39.2K posts on TikTok only.
