This Mastercard has been around the world, and it can take you there again! Mastercard is your ticket, and passport, to see and experience the world, to collect memories and to get inspired to go on new adventures. In this poster a Mastercard card is quite literally that ticket, that passport. In our digital world, where physical touchpoint, such as boarding passes are gradually disappearing, Mastercard remains. Memories are slipping away, getting lost in the never-ending streams of digital camera rolls. Meanwhile young adults are resorting back to analogue hobbies, escaping cities and going off grid as a past time. There is a need to balance off the information overload. Mastercard can provide a way to the world, however you want to experience it. While being a physical yet seamless tool the card offers a platform for memories, in this case in the form of passport stamps, which are a recognisable and iconic medium around the world. Drawing from the nostalgic and real present stamps and utilising local artists around the world Mastercard can create a set of its own custom “Mastercard around the world” stamps which I have already started here with a set of three custom designed location stamps for my native Finland, the competition’s native Slovenia and a place I would love to visit again: Australia. With a vast collection of custom stamps, the poster series can expand across the world and bring on stories related to the locations visited or wished to visit with the help of a Mastercard card.
