Creative idea

Why do young people travel? It can be for to experience a new culture, to go see their favorite artist preform, to have fun with their friends, to relax away from home. There can be many reasons why someone would go abroad, however there are two things they always bring back: photos and stories. They come back beaming to share stories of their wild nights exploring Tokyo’s urban streets and their time surrounded by a school of Moorish Idol while diving, while supplying plenty of pictures as proof. Today’s young people are more quick to the chase of taking and posting images to their social media in the form of carousels or photo albums. Some may say they go just for the pics. This image first culture is what inspired me to use this medium at the forefront of my concept. The images aren’t blended, but collaged together giving a more approachable look and sending a message of “craft your own journey”. Additionally, the lack of transitions between images gives a spontaneity-as if we are jumping from one place into the other without any in between, without any hesitation. But how does Mastercard fit into the picture? The Masercard logo did most of the heavy lifting here. Mastercard’s two bright overlapping circles of global connection serve as two sides of the globe. They frame our collage into one cohesive structure of travel possibilities. The phone on the bottom shows a simple confirmation of transaction screen. However, connecting it to our above frame of possibility adds a new layer to the transaction. It isn’t just about spending money to go somewhere, it is about connecting the person to a plethora of adventures around the world, all supported within the frame of Mastercard. A single tap and you are transported into a world of excitement and stories.
