Celebrating Creativity and Recognizing Excellence
Competition Finalists Announced
A diverse panel of jurors, led by renowned professionals from various parts of the world, has chosen finalists of the five competition sections: One-Channel Drum, Omni-Channel Drum, Craft Drum, Creative Business Excellence Drum, Creative Media Excellence Drum, and a special All Juries Section.
The Young Drummers Competition jury chose the best creative solutions in poster/poster series format submitted by participants from all around the world.
Miha Bevc and Špela Levičnik Oblak, Competition Directors, shared their reflections: “Golden Drum again brought together an amazing group of international professionals with different backgrounds to judge this year's entries. With an increase in the number of entries, the jury members had a hard job to do. During the judging sessions we have heard in depth discussions that resulted in awarding the best work in the region. The jury members left inspired, not only by the work, but also by each other’s diverse perspective on the creative solutions seen competing. Golden Drum has again confirmed its position as one of the seven regional festivals in the world included on the WARC ranking – meaningful creativity that drives our business and outstanding quality of work. A big thank you to all our jury members and a huge congratulations to all that made it onto the shortlists. We are looking forward to finding out which works and ideas behind them are going to become the benchmark for excellence in creativity for the year to come. Let’s celebrate the region’s best work at the Golden Drum Awards Show on 10 October. See you in Portorož, Slovenia.”
The Golden Drum Festival will celebrate its winners at the Awards Show, Powered by Mastercard on 10 October at 8 PM (CET).
The pinnacle of the Golden Drum Competition will be a special gala event, where we will celebrate exceptional creativity of 2023. This grand occasion will feature the announcement of several prestigious awards, including the winner of the Young Drummers Competition, powered by Slovenian Tourist Board. We will also honour recipients of the Bronze, Silver, Golden, and Grand Prix Drums, as well as announce the winners of the Brand Grand Prix, Best of Social Good, Best of Genius Loci, and the new Game Changer award, powered by Telemach Slovenia.
Furthermore, we will recognize the agency that earns the esteemed title of Adriatic Agency of the Year powered by Zavarovalnica Triglav, Independent Agency of the Year supported by Allfred.io, Agency of the Year, Production Agency of the Year, Digital Agency of the Year, Media Agency of the Year powered by BH Telecom. We'll also shine a spotlight on the Creative Director of the Year award, powered by Elan, and celebrate the Network of the Year.
To add to the evening's excitement, we'll welcome a new inductee into the Golden Drum Hall of Fame, Catalin Dobre, Co-CEO and Chief Creative Officer of McCann Worldgroup Romania & Regional Creative Director McCann, CEE.

About Golden Drum
The Golden Drum Festival was born in 1993 with a simple idea of bringing together creatives from different, back then often defined as New European countries. The festival wanted to inspire and empower creative thinking and action for positive change in many different ways, shining a light on it through its competition and congress program. The Golden Drum Festival was chosen as one of the seven regional award shows included in WARC Rankings.
