Markus grew up in an ad agency. Literally. It was his parents'. He then joined TBWA in Vienna to find out how communication really works. And has been trying to find the holy grail of creativity ever since.
In his 20 year pursuit he collected fancy job titles like International Account Director, Regional Strategist CEE, Managing Director Strategy and CEO in hot creative shops like BBDO and Jung von Matt...
He tried different agency types like OMD and PHD on the media side as well VCCP on the content side of things, lived in cities like London, Prague, Budapest, Hamburg, Berlin… before returning home.
Finally home, he founded Heimat and together with his eclectic team of superheroes led the new agency straight to the top three positions across all national creative, digital and efficiency rankings.
